About @Hello
@Hello (pronounced Atello, Tello for friends 😉 ) was born on January 07, 2021 at kennel Livernose Rules, bred by Marjolein van den Biesen.
11 puppies where born, 5 males and 6 females
No DS, no Kinktails, 2 ridgeless, 2 pups with 1 crown, no rear dewclaws, all correct bites and all males with descended testicles.
@Hello came to live with us at the age of 16 months. (See his page under “our dogs” for his story.)
Giving the lack of stimuli at during the time at his previous owners, I would say he is very balanced and stable dog.
Between coming to us and leaving his breeder, he didn’t see much of the world. His previous owners did not take him to puppy class or any dog school. They had 3 young children and totally underestimated the time it takes to raise a puppy let alone an adolescent young ridgeback male. They did train him to be very polite indoors, but besides that there wasn’t enough time. He spend his days in the garden and that was it.
He’s a quick learner and eager to do so, highly motivated for food rewards but a “good boy” for simple stuff is also appreciated. His favourite position is on his back on the couch, all fours up in the air, head on our lap. He’s a very playful, happy, outgoing, loving, brave but sensitive (in a good way) boy. A very typical Rhodesian Ridgeback so to speak, not shy with strangers and happy to come say hello if they ask for his attention unless he’s got something better to do.
We took him to dog classes and take him with us on camper trips. He is not afraid of thunder or gun shots. I can brush his teeth, clip his nails, clean his ears all done for the first time after coming to live with us.
@Hello is a passionate hunter. In addition to body awareness and show training at the dog school, we have picked up mantrailing and started lure coursing in the 2023 season to meet this tracking and hunting passion.
March last year (2023) we went to our very first show, not just for him, but for me as well. I entered him in the Spring Karst Winner, a three-day show in Slovenia.
Day 1, CAC/CACIB show. Open class. 1Exc, CAC, Best Male, CACIB, BOS
Day 2, CAC show. open class. 1Exc, CAC, Best Male, BOS
Day 3, CAC/CACIB show. open class. 1U, CAC, Best Male, Res. CACIB
These results gained him the Slovenian Champion title.
As far as showing is concerned, it will most likely stay at this. Although I love the training, competitions really aren’t my cup of tea.
@Hello meets all the conditions set by the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Netherlands (RRCN) to be used as a stud. He is, selectively, available for females that seem to be a good match in terms of health, character, exterior and pedigree.
We believe that as a stud dog owner you have as much responsibility in agreeing to breeding combinations as the owner of the bitch does. We like to keep Tello exclusive by making mindfull and educated decisions regarding combinations. Genetic diversity and health are high on our list.
Tello will not be bred before turning 3 years old.
If you are seriously interested in @Hello as a stud or if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
